STEFIECAKES NEEDS YOU!
A.K.A. SECOND AMENDMENT ZINE
So, as usual, I’m a little behind with my announcements AND EVERYTHING IN LIFE REALLY. But cutting to chase, I need you. I need all of you with your talented brains to help me achieve a dream. A dream full of violence, buff dudes, explosions & guns everywhere. A dream of celebrating the amazing, cheesy action movies that most of us grew up with.
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
What happens is that this pretty cool lady has decided to make a zine that will commemorate all of our hunky action heros that were born in the magic of moviemaking from 1975-1998. The shoot first, ask later dudes/dudettes. You can find most of them in action movies, but there’s a renegade or two that made it to other genres like science fiction, fantasy, etc.
I’ll be inviting some of my favorite artists personally to this project, but also taking volunteers. If you’re interested in participating, let me know. Just drop me an ask about it, don’t be shy.
BUT WHAT DO YOU WANT!?
I’m looking for artsy pieces from you! The only rule is that a firearm MUST be included in your piece. You can have one, you can have a thousand. That must also be part of the criteria to cover when thinking of which hero to draw: he/she must use firearms. Yes, sadly we’ll be leaving out our awesome martial artists & barbarians.
Since sci-fi or fantasy can make it into this zine, the firearm or weapon doesn’t have to specifically be something real. It can shoot lazers, babies, who knows. As long as our future public can tell it’s a gun, then everything’s peachy.
OH, SO THAT’S WHY THE NAME SUCKS?
Yes. The name of the zine will remain Second Amendment. The Second Amendment is part of the United States Constitution and protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
MORE BLAH.
In the next couple of weeks, I’ll be taking names & kicking ass before sending you the specifics. You know, all the technicities for the drawings. I’ll be updating y’all with due dates & estimated printing dates. The estimated due date may fall around Febuary 2013. I will also post the final list of participants.
Whoever is super cool enough to help me with art will obviously receive a free copy of the zine & neverending, undying love from me.
